LEO IS UNDEFEATED AT HIS FIRST SHOWS
Symetri Living In The Moment, "Leo", earned back-to-back Winners Dog awards in his first two shows in Columbus, OH November 17 & 18, 2011. Judges Helen Winski Stein and Betty Ann Stenmark each gave Leo 2 points from the 9-12 month puppy class in his show ring debut weekend. Leo is co-owned by Tomas Anthony. Altheda went lure coursing at the Wine Country Circuit in NY on 10/1-10/2/2011. She came home with two Best of Breed wins and new title...AKC Senior Courser! Many thanks to our friend Kim Brown for handling Altheda to her victories at the trials.
She followed up those wins with another BOB win over Field Champions on 11/6/2011 at the HRVHA trial in Starkville, NY, earning a 5-point major!
Altheda is just 3 single points away from earning an AKC Field Championship; when she attains that honor she will be an AKC Dual Champion like her gorgeous & talented dam, Summer.

2 NEW LURE COURSING TITLES!
On 9/3/2011 TESLA and her daughter ROXETTE each earned a new performance title at the MDIHC trial in Hanover, PA. Tesla completed the requirements for her Senior Courser (SC) title! She is now Symetri's Magnetic Moment, SC. Meanwhile, her young daughter Roxette turned in an outstanding performance that had experienced lure coursing folks cheering out loud, to earn the Junior Courser (JC) title. Roxette is now Symetri Listen To Your Heart, JC. There will definitely be more lure coursing in Roxette's future!

"Altheda" earned her AKC Championship on 8/13/11 by taking WB/BOW for a 4-point major under judge Helen Stein! The next day she was moved up to the BOB class and earned a Select award under breeder-judge Ruth Eneix for a major towards her Grand Champion title! Altheda is out of my exquisite girl "Summer".

My darling little Basenji girl, Prada, also earned WB/BOW for a 4-point major on 8/12/11 under judge Betty Stenmark. This is Prada's first major win; she is now halfway to her Championship in just two weekends of shows! Watch for an updated photo...!

Flag earns his Agility title...and the RRCUS Versatility Certificate!

I am so proud and excited to announce that my very special boy earned the RRCUS Versatility Certificate today in style!! “Flag” finished his NAJ-P title today, giving him the last piece of the VC puzzle. He is just one month short of his tenth birthday, demonstrating that quality stands the test of time. Pending AKC & RRCUS verification, he will be:
U-GrCh, Am & Can CH Symetri’s Flying Colors, CDX, RN, NAJ, CGC, TT, VC

I want to express my sincere appreciation to everyone who has supported Flag and I on this incredible journey. Special mention for the awesome Kate Eldredge, who trained and handled Flag to this agility title. Kate’s many impressive accomplishments can be seen at her website: http://coyote-run.net/kate-eldredge.html And also to our obedience instructor, Dottie Hamblin of Dottie’s Dog School in Syracuse, NY. And to our many friends who cheered us on, cheered me up, and believed in us along the way…you know who you are, and so do I.
Flag has achieved high honors in everything we have undertaken. He is the first RR ever to earn a Rally-obedience title, in just 3 trials with one class placement. Both his CD and CDX were finished with scores above 190 and placements in every class over Border Collies, Goldens, and many other “traditional” obedience breeds. He was ranked the #8 RRCUS obedience RR in 2005, and #4 in 2007 (#3 ranking by Front & Finish); these are the years he finished his obedience titles. In achieving this latest title he once again stood out from the crowd, earning the NAJ with two second-place ribbons, and today with a first-place win, which seems even more impressive when you know that he did not begin seriously training for the agility ring until he was over 9 years old!
In the breed ring Flag finished easily, winning his majors at RRCUS-supported shows and taking several BOB wins over specials along the way. He won WD/BOW at the Canadian Regional Specialty handled by my good friend Kaz Paszko under judge Ray Filburn and finished in Canada very quickly with Kaz. He has sired several lovely litters and many of Flag’s puppies have his willingness to work.
Flag is an amazing boy—together we have achieved a number of my personal dreams and goals. Tonight I am just bursting with pride and love for this very special dog.

On 5/15/2011 at the SOTC agility trial in Syracuse, NY Flag earned his second qualifying score and a 2nd place in the class!! Flag is: U-GrCh, Am/Can CH Symetri's Flying Colors, CDX, RN, CGC, TT. Flag is running in Jumpers With Weaves (JWW) class in the Preferred division due to his age. Our friend Kate Eldredge has been training Flag in agility regularly and has handled him in both of his qualifying runs. Just one more "Q" and Flag will have earned his NAJ-P title, AND the RRCUS Versatility Certificate!! He could not have gotten so far without Kate's training and handling, a very big Thank You to Kate--they are a good team and have a lot of fun together. On Saturday 5/7/2011 "Altheda" (Symetri's Fair Fortune, JC) won Best of Breed over 4 Field Champions to earn a 3-point major at the HRVHA trial in Glenville, NY. Altheda's dam "Summer" earned her FCh title in just 3 trials with three 5-point majors, while sister "Tally" (FC Symetri's Magical Me, SC--owned by Kat Walkoviak & myself) earned her FC title in a handful of trials winning 4 majors & multiple BOBs over FChs along the way.
Also bringing home a ribbon was our baby "Roxette" (Symetri Listen To Your Heart) who ran a course for the very first time, earning a JC leg.

With the expert training and handling of our friend Kate Eldredge, he earned his first NAJ Preferred agility leg on April 3, 2011 with a second place in his class! I am THRILLED that Flag will earn the VC by beginning a rigorous sport at an advanced age; the VC is an elite designation for those dogs that show true versatility, workabillity, and conformation. Symetri's Magical Me, SC won BOB from the classes two days in Corpus Christi, TX this past weekend, and topped it all off with her first Group placement. "Tally" is a little livernose dynamo, co-owned by Kat Walkoviak and myself. She is beautifully presented in the breed ring by Renee Lara, DVM. Tally has been tearing up the coursing field as well and needs only 2 single points to earn her AKC Field Championship..........TALLY-HO! See Tally's pedigree here. OLD GIRLS DO LEARN NEW TRICKS...AND EARN TITLES!! My sweet Lexie earned two new titles over Thanksgiving weekend: BN = Beginner Novice obedience, and CGC = Canine Good Citizen. She had a wonderful time strutting her stuff and at 11.5 years old she was the darling of the ring. Lexie has always delivered the goods, no matter what I have asked of her: show dog, Mama, lure coursing, sheepherding, temperament, and now obedience. But mostly, she has been balm to my heart and willing partner in all my mad schemes, crazy road trips, and life's ups and downs. Words are never able to express such a bond. My gorgeous girl Summer re-entered the show ring in September 2010 to work towards her AKC Grand Champion title. I had no idea how easy it would be! On 11/20/2010 Summer won BOB over one of the top-ranked bitch specials in the country, proving that quality stands the test of time! She needs just 2 more points to earn the title. Watch for an exciting new litter out of Summer in Spring 2011. She is nearing the end of her breeding career as she approaches official Veteran status.
